Bon Appetit

I really enjoyed Jim Haynes' essay for NPR's series "This I Believe," Inviting the World To Dinner. He discusses his love of introducing people to people and his belief that we can love each other even if we do not understand each other.

Gotta agree with you on this one. It hit such a chord that it became our dinner conversation (I usually listen to NPR to and from work). I love how he familiarized himself with his guest list so he was able to effortlessly introduce people to each other.
I was also interested in his desire to travel for the sake of meeting people instead of just seeing the sights. I love the idea of a weekly dinner open to any who want to come - he must have meet so many interesting people.
I love to cook and I love to socialize with friends - this seems right up my alley.

I loved this one. It made me want to go to dinner with him. Or to go help put the dinner together.
